Another card from me today, which I have just uploaded it's another Crafts U Print download - I am working towards Bronze level, so there will probably be another few cards over the weekend!

I kept this really simple, by just sticking the picture to a folded piece of A4 card, layered up the images and then added some glitter glue to the hats! Simples! :)

Teddy Bear Topper Card

Here's another card I have made from a Crafts U Print download.

Printed on good quality photo paper. I cut around the image and glued it to some red cardstock which I then went around with scallop scissors. I then glued it to a folded piece of white card, going around it again with scallop scissors but leaving the top so the card can stand. I added a red bow, Merry Christmas in green peel offs and then went around the white of the card with some red stickles glitter glue.

I have just finished and uploaded 2 more cards to Crafts U Print So thought I would share them with you!

I printed on good quality photo paper. Cut out the large shape and stuck this to some spotty paper, which I then went round with scallop sissors. I glued this to a folded piece of A4 card and went around the spotty paper leaving a gap with scallop sissors. For the Boy card before I stuck down the first cut out I placed some gingham ribbon underneath to go across the card, I then layered up the card and added the snowman circles either side, cut out the shapes and stuck those on, finished one off with a gingham bow and added some punched glitter snowflakes. For the Girl card I just added the buttons either side and a pink bow.

I got a little bit bored looking at the plain wall in the attic, so decided to make something to brighten it up a bit, plus I need somewhere to put notes etc, so with the help of some mountboard, letters and embellishments and a few bunnys and lots of ribbon I created this:

Must say I am quite chuffed with myself! I just love having all my craft bits and pieces to hand now :)

So I was thinking, what to do with my Ribbons, they were in a box, having to sort through them to find what I wanted. I have been looking around at ribbon storage, some of it was quite expensive. So I bought some 9mm dowling and found some cardboard CD boxes in B&Q and here they are! I must say I am quite pleased with the results!!

Well, it's been a while as I am still without my office, although Hubby is slowy turning the attic into one, and I lost the desire to craft for a bit. General life and kiddies etc getting in the way, but I am feeling the crafty bug again and the need to be knee deep in sticky tape, scissors glue and those annoying little bits that come off the back of double sided foam pads!! So, after such a long break from crafting, here is my first effort! I have used my Xmas Pudding Maggie to make a Tag Topper! Hope you like!

I've got a few cross stitches on the go at the moment, one that has been on the go for years! lol and other stuff i'm planning to do when a friend asks if i could please finish a couple of tapestry's for her (her hubby started them, but sadly passed away before finishing them, and she would like them finished!).

I said yes (what else could i say!), as she said she had the wool and the patterns to finish them, only when she went to look she couldn't find the patterns or the right wool, so i'm having to do it without either! luckily she did have some wool and he had also managed to do the main part of the tapestry.

So the only thing i can really do is just fill in all around it in one colour! i've never done tapestry before but it's almost like cross stitch so not too bad! just hope it doesn't take me too long to complete cos i want to get on with my "other stuff" lol

Well, the holidays are now officially over, kids are back at school .......... but i have no interest whatsoever in crafting at this present moment in time!

What i do want to know tho is............... what do people do with all the stuff they have made, cards are easy i guess - there is always the odd birthday popping up now and again ..... but what about the ones that are made for challenges etc., are they sat unloved in a big pile or do you have a use for them? same goes for altered art stuff? what do you do with it all?

Here we are and I cannot wait until tomorrow - because, the kids go back to school, the house, computer will me mine again!! Well, apart from DD2 but being so little, she is no problem (atm)! it's been one hell of a break for one reason or another with no crafting done, so i am gonna have to try and find it and get some inspiration back as i really need to get myself sorted again, I have a million things that i need to do!!!

A Busy Week!

It's been a busy week with one thing and another and now the boys are off school until Monday! They have TTD (Teacher Training Days) Today and Tomorrow - why they have to have them so close to the summer holidays i have no idea!

We popped up to see my Mum and Dad this morning, which was nice as the weather is a bit changeable at the moment, DS1 is now in the garden, don't know how long for tho because it looks like it's about to rain any minute!

Can't believe that it's Friday already tomorrow - on the plus side the NEW Maud Stamps will be on sale as from tomorrow (yippee!!)

The Challenge this week on Arty Girlz is a Sketch Challenge (lovely - these are my favourites at the moment) Here is my card using the sketch they have used. I've used some freebie papers, one of my own design stamps, which i have coloured in with pro markers and then added some glitter glue and liquid pearls. Topped it off with 3 little ladybird embellishments and a rub on "Wild thing" :)

Here is my entry for this week's Daring Cardmakers which you can find HERE. I have used some freebie papers that were in a craft magazine that i was given a while ag0 (thanks Jan).

I've also used one of my up and coming Stamps from the Bootiful Stamp range.(which will be released soon). It's a Christmas Tree (if you hadn't guessed) lol I've coloured it in with pro markers and then used some glitter glue and liquid pearls, altho had a bit of an accident as they had gotten a bit warm (note to self, not to leave them near the boiler! (doh!)).

I had a rather funny email the other day from a certain Miss Rosie Rowe, in connection with the Win a Maggie Stamp that i am running on the Bootiful Stampz Website.

Rosie "doesn't do cute" and fancied Maggie being "gothed/funkied" up a bit, Maggie seems a bit young to be gothed/funkied up that much, so Rosie suggested a Teenage Sister/older character and suggested the name Maud to me.

I told Rosie if she could give me an idea of gothed up/grunged/funky i would draw her, well my mind went into work and here are the results, i know it might not be to everyone's taste, but what do you think?All thanks go to Rosie for the Inspiration and in choosing the name!

Well. it's that time of year again (school fete time) and i have been making cakes today for the boys to take into school tomorrow for the fete on Saturday - next year it will be even more with DD1 starting school in September! I hope you are feeling hungry!!

DD1 had her first "visit" to School on Tuesday and she loved it!! was playing on the computer, played with the sand and the water and did some puzzles! hope she will be that enthusiastic come September!

As for me, i've some new Designs being sorted at the moment, but i have a stinking summer cold :( don't know where i have got it from as no one else i know has one!

Busy, Busy, Busy

I had DH home last week and also this week, along with having the boys off of school this week and we have been doing lots of jobs around the house that needed doing, and we have been decorating DS2's bedroom! The house stinks today because DH has been glossing the woodwork. Good job the weather was better today so that the kids could get outside, as it has been dreadful all week!

I must say that i haven't even looked or attempted to make a card or anything much for a while now and haven't blogged a great deal either. I have been concentrating on doing some of my x-stitch for a couple of weeks, as it's easy to sit in front of the tele doing it and i also like to think about different things whilst i am sewing, it may sound strange, but it helps me to concentrate!! and i have lots of things to think about at the moment lol

Here is the sewing i am doing at the moment, it's a counted cross-stitch and is quite a large one, altho i do have another bigger one on the go, well it's been a work in progress for about 3/4 years now - i am hoping to get some more of that one done soon as well! :)

I've been so busy with one thing and another lately, had to go to the vets with the dog today for his annual jab! he was very well behaved, had the jab and then, whilst waiting to pay decided to start barking at the dogs he could here in the back of the vets, seemed like ages i was stood waiting to pay! Have spent some time in the garden today, trying to get it looking nice now that DH has replaced the fence panels - it's actually looking like a garden again! rofl

It feels very chilly here tonight, we had some brief sunshine this morning, but it did not last very long.

Back to School! Hoorah!

The boys go back to school tomorrow after 2 weeks "spring" holiday! I can't wait, the downside is I have had to do some cooking for sandwich boxes, which i love doing, just not the helpers that i tend to get these days and they are never content with what they are doing but want to do what one of the others is doing!

Anyway, i managed to make some flapjack, some small cakes - which i will ice later, a banana and nut loaf and a giant anzac bicuit, it was going to be lots of smaller ones, but to save time i just did one great big one instead and then i will chop it up once it has cooled! the loaf isn't on these pics as it's still in the oven as i type! - oooo loooks yummy!

Challenge 4 on Tags, Toppers and ATC's is Faces AND Stitching - which you can check out HERE, for my take on this i have used a picture of a mask, which is almost as good as a face, i've duplicated it in 4 sizes and the biggest image i have used glitter glue and liquid pearls, 3d metallic pens to bring out the "bling" on the mask itself which you can see if you compare the largest of the two pictures, I've then just gone around with a metallic silver pen creating "fake" stitching - i do love this mask!

Finished At Last!

It's my niece's 1st Birthday in a couple of weeks and i have slowly been working on a card for her (it's A5 size). Here is the finished result. I have cut a giant 1 out of cake patterned paper and stuck it to a card 1 for extra strength, then i have gone around the 1 with dots of liquid pearls, and attached a few embellishments i had. This is attached with foam pads, i've made a frame in which sits a material teddy bear, her name is made out of a card alphabet i had and i have used a Maggie cake stamp. You can't tell very well but they are all 3D.

I have used a large Pink die cut Tag and then used some freebie flower paper and polka dot paper that i had! I've used a Cake Maggie who i have cut out and used foam pads to stick her onto the tag, i've finished it off with some card flowers and a happy birthday banner (sorry flash went into overdrive) and then used some pretty ribbon that i had and a card butterfly just to finish it off!

This is my first go at a "skinny" - I have used the Maggie Pixie stamp and cut her out and stuck her onto some freebie paper i had, which i jazzed up with some liquid pearls and metallic silver pen and added a little pink beaded star that i had! I put it a little extra detailing on her face!

I haven't done any crafting for a couple of days as i have been working on a flyer for my Maggie range of stamps! and here is a copy of it! I will update once i have the new designs in stock! Which hopefully wont be very long :)

I am also gonna make another box similar to the one i did for the Papertake challenge to store all the Maggie stamps in! but not just yet, too many other things to do at the moment!

The weather is rubbish today! I really hope tomorrow is better as (fingers crossed) we have Jan and her family (a member of auntys forum) coming up to see us on their way home from visiting another couple of the girls from the forum!

It's a beautiful sunny day (but cold) i've put out the washing and the kids are driving me nuts already! I've just had delivery of some more Maggie stamps, after they almost sold out within the first day - so i have some packaging to do later, i've uploaded them to the shop and also but some on ebay to see how they do, i really need a coffee now - think today is going to be hectic with the kiddies!

Arty Girlz Challenge!

This is my entry, it almost filled me with dread when I saw the words "Black and White", if there is one thing i really like least its working with black and white (i'm more of a pink and purple person - had you guessed?? lol ) so i guess mine is a bit of a cop out really, I have used one of my Maggie stamps and coloured her in mostly black and then added some white 3d paint to her headband and to the heart on her t-shirt! and turned her into an ATC with a bit of doodling around the edges!

My delivery of "Maggie" stamps came today and they are now in my shop which you can find HERE I only have limited numbers at the moment - so you will have to be quick if you want a copy of your favourite first!

My sister and her kids came over this morning, so i had to put off playing with the new stamps until after she left! and, as always Tanda Stamps have done a cracking job in making the stamps for me :)

She stamps lovely and is the perfect size to fit on an ATC card! I've stamped loads of images this afternoon! can't wait to get to play later colouring them in and thinking of cards/projects to put her on!! - once the kiddies have gone to bed that is!

The Challenge this week on Papertake is one of Claudia's Challenges - "Claudia Says: Todays challenge for you is to create a big box out of 2 sheets of paper" you can see her tutorial on Papertake HERE.

I have used pinks and lilac card and check pink ribbon finished off with a Pixie Maggie Stamp ATC altho my box is a little smaller than Claudia's!

I have used this box to put my blank ATC cards in and they fit perfect :)

First Aid Monday!

It's the start of the Kids "Spring" break today (previously known as Easter Holiday, normally taken around Easter time!), they are home for 2 WHOLE weeks - so not a lot of time for me to do much of anything really!

Boys will be boys and before too long DS2 was in with a bleeding knee (he fell off of the trampoline) - good job it's only a diddy little thing and not one of those great big ones! and then about an hour later DS1 fell off a chair outside and came in with a bleeding nose! it's a good job that the sight of blood doesn't phase me! lol

I've been sorting out getting Maggie made into stamps! fingers crossed she should be in the shop soon! I have also been toying with the idea of contacting a few craft shops (possibly local ones, maybe a couple of internet ones) to see if they would be interested in stocking some of my stamps! Just an idea at the moment! but it would get a little bit more exposure for them!

I've been working on a drawing of a little girl and i am finally happy about the results, i'm still working on giving her a full wardrobe!! My DD1 named her, I couldn't think of a name so showed her the picture and because she had a little friend at nursery called Maggie she said she should be called Maggie.

I have Hand drawn this little alien......... I'm gonna call him "Jeff" :) coloured him in with metallic pencils and then used liquid pearls on the silver dots and filled in his bubble with irredescent glitter!

Well, I've had a busy morning so far! The boys BOTH got their Green leaves at school today, so got Mum in to babysit the girls whilst i went and watched! DS2 wouldn't even look up! bless!!

Came home and rang the vets as our lovely baggy cat is a tad poorly, but they said that he is responding well and has eaten etc and his temperature is coming down, have to ring again this afternoon!

I have been doing some more designs lately for my Bootiful Stampz range, but i have been doing other things apart from bunnys, none of them are ready yet to be seen! But the new bunny images are now available as a download! I printed off a sheet the other day to have a play and the results you can see below, which i am quite pleased with!

Typically my printer has now ran out of ink - i have ordered some more but wont be here until Monday :( so no more printing for me at the moment!

This card is multi-layered - i've kept it pretty simple, just cutting the happy birthday square into two and sticky them to some silver card and then adding the balloons.

Pink Card for a Pink Design

This morning i treated myself to a download from Pink Petticoat

It was very hard to decide which one to go for as they were all lovely, but in the end i decided on the Lili and Lola Download. Here is one card i have made! I used normal colouring pencils, well they are the kids colouring pencils, but it was the first thing to hand!! lol

Toppers, Tags & ATC's Challenge

Above is my Design for the new Tag, Toppers and ATC's Challenge blog which you can check out HERE there is a fabby prize on offer for the 1st Challenge!!, I have used an ATC size piece of card and rounded the corners. I have then placed flower paper over it to look like the back of an envelope, i added to this 3 nice pink brads. I have then used a cut out card flower in pink and placed a purple flower brad over the top of it. I then glittered around the edge of the pink card flower and added a tiny little happy birthday tag.

I have then used this on a card for the Papertake Challenge, which this week is waves, zig zagz, scallops - which you can see by checking out the site HERE.

I have use 2 lots of backing paper, which i trimmed with scallop scissors (i love my scallop scissors) placed the topper over the card and then added some ribbon down the side.

I do not know where time is going at the moment, we all got up late this morning - probably something to do with the clocks changing at the weekend, the morning wasn't as manic as normal, which i was quite glad about! Took the boys to school, then i have put washing on etc and i have just finished making a "handcrafted by" stamp for a friend to go on the back of her cards, it's just drying at the moment - once it is dry i will have a play and make sure that it stamps ok!

I have also just uploaded a new section in my SHOP for my Encaustic Art Work, I am gonna see if i can sell some of it..... if you want to have a look you can check it out HERE. I love making it, and always have some spares left over and rather they sit in the cupboard, would love others to enjoy them!

It's raining at the moment, so the tumbledryer is on again! these children cost us a fortune lol :)

Little Pixie

Here's a Digi Layout i have done of DD1 - she went to a fancy dress party as a little pixie! as you can tell she loves the camera :) lol

I decided to do a landscape style page this time rather than the normal square which i have done in the past!

The digi papers come from the Miss Mint - Love Muffin Paper Kit and accessories are from a freebie i downloaded, i'm sorry but i do not remember the name - but they are absolutely gorgeous!
